Dear Freshman,

           Welcome to Ridge
We wish we did not have to be here to greet you.
We wish that Ridge was a perfect school that had an administration that acted on our concerns and worked in the best interests of you, the students, instead of the school. Never get the two confused, they are separate concerns -- your best interest is your future and what happens to you twenty years from now, the school's best interest is how high your SAT scores were and what your enrollment rates were (regardless of drop-out rates in college).
We exist to open your minds to the possibilities and awaken you to realities that others wish you to overlook. We exist to look out for your future when others are more concerned of their future.
No, ridge is not an awful school. As freshman, we understand, you may be worried about the next four years. We do not want to strengthen those concerns. We only want to warn you.
We want to warn you about the education you will receive. As far as the basics are concerned (math, English, science) you will receive a good education, you will also receive a good education in dirty politics, corrupt government, and what goes on behind closed. You will learn these things if you keep your eyes open. It is out there -- despite other's attempts to hide it.
Open your eyes and mind and...
           Welcome to the RDFA.
This is our forum, how we communicate with you. In good times (this time) and in bad times (most times) you will find these flyers.
We exist to serve your best interests -- despite the school's best interests.

Good luck to all of you,
                                         RDFA

PS -- you'd be wise to keep this from falling into the wrong hands. After all knowledge is power and there are those who don't want you to have power.
